The Online Professional Certificate in Personal Fitness Training is a collaboration between industry experts, faculty members, internship affiliates, national organizations, and our Board of Advisors. This interactive, comprehensive Web-based certificate is designed to supply essential education integrating exercise science and business concepts from the areas of biomechanics, physiology, neurology, motor learning, functional anatomy, resistance training, and fitness management into a logical, progressive learning sequence for the student. Students and current personal trainers will learn how to apply their client’s health history, goals, and abilities to implement a systematic sequential exercise training model that progresses individuals through different training levels and phases. Whether you are new or are planning to enter the emerging health/fitness industry as a certified personal trainer or are a practicing personal trainer looking to update your skills with the most current research and techniques available, the personal training certificate courses will deliver in-depth information under the guidance, leadership, and instruction of experienced instructors and faculty members. The On-line Distance Education program will allow students, personal trainers, fitness directors, athletic trainers, physical therapists, nutritionists, registered dietitians, and allied health/medical professionals from around the world to fit courses into their work and home schedule, completing the certificates five core courses and an (Optional Field Internship Elective Course) within 5 months if desired. Students may wish to continue their education by obtaining the Advanced Certificate in Personal Fitness Training Program, which requires the student to take three additional courses.
